A galaxy is a gravitationally bound, large collection of stars and moons, planetary systems, gas nebulae, clouds of dust, dark matter and other astronomical objects. Its diameter can span several hundred thousand light-years.

When photographing them, you reach the limits of what is possible. You need a very good camera and fast lenses. A tracking mount is an advantage.
