Our new ground-source heating system – heat from the depths

We decided to switch our heating system to a modern and environmentally friendly ground-source heating system. This allows us to use the natural heat from the ground to heat our home efficiently and sustainably in the future.

How does a ground-source heating system work?

A probe extending deep into the ground extracts heat from the earth. A heat pump raises this heat to the required heating temperature and uses it to supply our home. The system requires neither oil nor gas and makes use of the energy stored in the ground.

From the borehole to the completed heating system

Installing a ground-source heating system is an exciting project. The drilling work was particularly impressive, with the drilling rig working its way metre by metre into the depths.

I captured the various stages of the work with my camera. In my photo gallery, I show the process from the initial preparations and drilling through to the completed heating system.

Enjoy looking through the photos!

Many heartfelt thanks to all the companies and specialists involved for their hard work and excellent cooperation.
